When you install Localization Guard, we request read-only Shopify permissions to access:
We do not request or access: customer personal data, orders, payment information, analytics, or staff accounts.
Store content is read to generate QA findings (missing translations, untranslated URLs, metafield gaps, changed protected terms) and a market readiness score. Findings are shown to you in the app and can be exported by you as CSV.
We store the minimum needed to operate: your shop identifier, app settings (such as protected terms you define), and scan summaries (counts and scores). We do not store copies of your product catalog. Scan detail results are generated on demand.
If you uninstall the app, we delete stored settings and scan summaries within 48 hours of receiving Shopify's shop/redact webhook. Because the app does not collect customer personal data, customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks receive an automated confirmation that no customer data is held.
Access tokens are stored encrypted. All communication with Shopify uses HTTPS. Access to production systems is limited to the developer.
We will update this policy if the app's data practices change, and note the new effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
